Virginia Wine In My Pocket App Reviews

A few years ago my cousin took me to a Virginia winery -- it was great! (Who knew VA had wineries -- much less SO many!) Anyway -- when I saw there was a Sutro app on VA Wineries, I got it out of curiosity. Well, I found it to be a really nicely done app -- lots of useful info and well written -- and lots of photos too. Its a great app for those planning a trip to DC or northern VA who want to explore wineries. I cant wait to return to VA and explore all the wineries the app coveres. Excellent Job!

Not sure what VA Wine Sipper "paid" for, since this is a free app. And info loading is not a problem weve ever heard of. Dont be hating, VWS. Its not nice.

Great concept, especially the "been there" function. Problem is, you can only add one winery to the list at a time. Try to add a second and the app locks. If you close the app then relaunch, the second winery has been added, but the process starts all over - add one..add two and it locks. Close, relaunch, repeat... It will take me forever to load in all the wineries Ive visited.

I had high hopes for this app as my wife and I travel to VA wine country over many weekends. The app, unfortunately is not complete. Just in the Marshall Va area it failed to list 3 wineries still in business. I wont be keeping this one.

Great app, nice user interface, mapping functionality is excellent.Great write ups and photos. Photo content and vineyard descriptions very informative.

As a sommelier and wine educator who has spent a fair amount of time touring VA Wine Country, I still find this app useful and fun (sending photos to friends that are better than I can take on my phone). Highly recommended!

VA wine is a perfect app, I have many friends who love visiting wineries, and I am enthusiastic to find this helpful directory.. No more fumbling around with search engines trying to find a location for our field trips!! With VA Wines I have everything I need at my fingertips. The best part is I was born and raised in Virginia, and its great that some of these places are literally down the street from me! Happy tasting!

For those who enjoy good wine, this is a wonderful program to have and use. We consult it often as we explore the world of Virginia wines and wineries. I am loving this app, but would appreciate a section to make my own personal notes. I like reading others notes on the wineries, but would like a place to record my own thoughts on wines I taste outside of the winery. Someplace that is not public, just my own notes. Thanks!

I love the descriptions, info on prices and lodging. worth while to find out specifics about which locations are dog friendly, good for groups, newcomers etc.

Love this app! We use it often to plan our trips from Central Virginia to the Southwest and NOVA regions. Cant wait for the addition of some of Virginias newest wineries to the app.

This app is really amazing, I thought it was too pricey but I went ahead an bought it and Im so glad I did. I have it on my iTouch and I havent found anything that it cant do offline. Thanks!

One of the best, easy to navigate, informative apps I have ever seen. I love reading about the vineyards and then visiting. Virginia has some awesome vineyards! Only constructive comment is I wish there was a "visited" checkbox!

If it worked properly, this would be a fantastic app. But comments only get posted half the time, even though the mods say they are not editing them. There have been problems with some of the maps too.
